How much does a renovation cost in Halifax?

Do I need a building permit?
Often. In HRM, finishing a basement, changing structure, moving or adding plumbing, or creating a secondary suite generally needs a permit, while like-for-like cosmetic updates generally don't. We'll tell you at the site visit what your job needs.
Can you do just part of the job?
Yes. If you already have a plumber or electrician lined up, we can do the framing, drywall and finishing around them. We also take on finishing work a previous contractor left behind.
Do you replace windows and doors?
Yes — window replacement and interior and exterior door replacement, including the framing, trim and finishing around them.
